What is The Spirits Post and what it is not
Introducing this page and myself, what you will find in my press review and what you will not
Here we go, this is the first post on this blog, so… what is this all about?
The Spirits Post is a blog about what is happening in the spirits industry.
Scrolling the news, looking for interesting content and keeping myself up to date is an important and daily part of my job, as a journalist.
From now on I’m going to share my press review on this blog.
This is going to be a personal selection of news, articles, interviews and content that I find interesting, inspiring and worth sharing with you.
I’m going to suggest some reads, comment them, occasionally talk about media and how they work.
What I will not do is share other people's articles in their entirety. I find it more respectful to share the links so you can read directly on their website.
My name is
Eugenia Torelli, I’m an Italian journalist, who writes about spirits, wine and the bar industry.
I occasionally take part in wine and spirits competitions as a judge, like the Spirits Selection by CMB and the World Drinks Awards.

English
is not my native language, but it’s the one I’m going to use, to make it easily understandable for all of you. So, please, forgive me if I sound a little basic sometimes ;)
I will not only share articles in English here. I’m planning to share content in French, Spanish, German, Chinese and any other language I can get by with.
Why? Today, automatic online translations are available to everyone and easy to use, why should we only focus on English content? ;)
Every now and then, I might also share some of my articles, which are usually published in Italian for Italian readers. I’m translating some of them into English and adapting the content for international readers, but that's not the focus of this blog. You can learn more here.
Knowing the point of view
of the people in the spirits industry is the most interesting and genuine part of my job. So, please, do interact, comment, share your experience, point me to articles that I have not read, newspapers and blogs that I should keep an eye on.
